Operation

GranMech Mixer Granulator is designed to meet special needs of tablet manufacturing technology. This is achieved by reducing processing time, more homogenous mixing, Uniformity of Granule size and above all maintaining improved hygiene compliant to GMP norm. Mass Mixers

Operation

The Mass Mixer Machine is basically mixing a assembly wherein the mixing stirrer is in horizontal position in the container & have a single speed, simple rotation. Fluid Bed Dryers

Fluid Bed Dryer offers a lucid solution to drying of wet granules, crystalline or course materials. It utilizes the principle of passing the hot air at a high velocity through the bed of the material to be dried, thus causing it to fluidize.

Operation

The blower situated on the exhaust side of the dryer operates no negative pressure principle, which creates the induced draught and sucks in the fresh air into the dryer. A stream of hot filtered air is introduced from the bottom of product container containing the wet material. This container is provided with the air distribution plate and Dutch sieve. The air stream is passed through the bed of the material and fluidizes the product particles by creating the turbulence in the product container. Due to fluidization each particle gets surrounded by hot air, which leads quick & uniform heating and drying. Filter bags provided at the top prevent escaping of particles from the machine.

The conventional drying method of drying products in tray dryer is rather inadequate and trouble some. They occupy large floor space, have very high drying times, are labour intensive and offer uneven drying. On contrast Fluid Bed Dryer occupy comparatively lesser floor space, are very easy to operate & can dry material in least time as compared to tray dryer.

In Fluid Bed Dryer, temperature distribution through out the product is uniform and the heat transfer rate is very high. Due to the reduce drying time high production rates are achieved.

As the product is in close contact with drying air at lowtemperature and also for short duration, the physical and chemical properties of the products are generally not effected and therefore the dryer can effectively be used for heat sensitive products. Dueto the continuous movements of product during drying lumpformation, case hardening etc. are minimized.

The Fluid Bed Dryer are most suitable for drying granular, crystalline, coarse or similar material in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, dyes, food and allied products. The Fluid Bed Dryer is not suitable for drying liquids or pasty materials.

Double Cone Blenders

Operation

The Double shape blenders have long two corner of product container for more rubbing and tumbler effect to the material for fast and homogenizing mixing. It can perform homogenously dry mixing of free flowing powders, granules requiring low shearing force, Mixing and Blending of particles with rapid intermixing of particles irrespective of varying specific gravities. The material is loaded into the double cone blender drum. The double blender is tumbles the material in the container and spread out. The mixing is achieved in 5 to 15 minutes with better homogeneity.

Operation

The OCTAGONAL BLENDER is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender gives best result for granules due to very slow speed and octagon shape of container. Ribbon Blenders

Operation

The RIBBON BLENDER is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing of dry granules & powders homogeneously. Approximate two third of the volume of the container of Ribbon Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Ribbon Blender gives best result for mixing of dry powder & granules due to the design and shape of the mixing ribbon and product container. It can be used for Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products etc.
Material should be charge from the top side. There are port/ports should be provided on the top cover to charge the material as well as for air vent. One discharge valve provided at the bottom side at center of the container. The discharge height could be adjusted as per the requirement, so that material gets discharge in the other container directly, so that material handling time for discharge is nil and the operation is dust free.
In Ribbon Blender the powder moves from center to the end of container and end of container to the center of container. Hence requirement of total mixing time is very less and the RPM required are also very less.
The dry material gets sufficient continuous movement due to the shape & movement of ribbon & shape of the container. which moves material for good quality of blending.
The unit is consist of one electrical motor, one worm reduction gear, belt drive between motor and gear, couple drive between gear to ( ribbon ) mixing stirrer. Container having four nos. of legs with discharge valve & top cover. Both end of mixing shaft is sealed with bush & PTFE gland housing & safety guards are provided on all moving parts.

Tablet Coating Machines

Description

In the process of coating tablets and confectionaries, the personal skills of the coater needs to be supplemented by a correctly designed, versatile coating pan.
Coating Pan have very heavy & sturdy structure , made from angles & channels. Complete structure covered from all sides. Two nos. of covers with hinges provided on two sides( left & right ) of the structure. Three nos. of covers are fixed with bolts.
Variable speed pulley system made out of cast iron, with motor slides are provide up to 48″ size for speed variation. Motor & worm reduction gear are used of any reputed make, as per customer requirement.( A.C. frequency drive for variable speed of coating pan will be also provided on demand ).
Coating pan made from SS316 or SS316 L material and polished to the mirror finished from inside & outside.
Coating Pans have been designed after a careful study of the needs of expert coaters such as Rotational Speed, Angle of inclination of Pan, Inside finishing of the pan , Total Volume and Temperature of the hot air.
The standard pan is elliptical in shape, mounted at 30° angle. RPM of the pan is variable. with help of the AC Variable Frequency Drive.
Inbuilt hot air blower system as a standard supply up to 48” size ( Excluding 60” & 72” size ) & high capacity mobile hot air blower system also provided with temperature controller to control the temperature of air at selected temperatures between 30°C to 75°C is provided with air delivery pipe to deliver required quantity of air in the pan.

Working Principle:

The tablet to be coated make continuous complicated orbital motion the closed rotating Drum under the action of a streamline of Baffles. The hot air penetrates through the tablets core layers and is discharged from the bottom of the layers, so that the coating medium sprayed on the surface of the tablet cores will dry rapidly and evenly, thus forming a solid and smooth surface film on tablet. Communiting Mill

Product kept in the hopper slide down to the enclosed chamber, where it is milled in between beaters and screen to the required mesh/micron size which can be collected at the bottom of the container.Quality and output depends upon the three main variables
  • Beaters shape (knife/impact forward)
  • Speed and
  • Screen size.
Knife edge for coarse or large particles and impact or flat edge for finer particles. High speed for fine grinding, low speed for coarser particles. A wide range of screens is available for various process needs.
Salient Features
  • cGMP point of view machine is provided with SS cladding on base, SS belt guards, SS cover on motor. No exposed painted surface on top of the machine. Motor rails, screws and guide rods are chrome plated.
  • Beaters assembly is in a separate pillow blocks for ease in maintenance. Very less down time, as only beaters assembly will have to be reversed (and not the complete chamber) for making it knife to impact forward or vice-versa which can be done by operator.
  • Swing type beaters assembly is provided as a standard supply which increases the output by 10 to 30% and is easy to clean.
  • Beaters and shaft are of HCHC quality and beaters are further hardened and hard chrome plated. Beaters are fitted on a splinted shaft.
  • Transmission of heat to the chamber from the bearings, is minimum, as they are away in separate pillow blocks. This facilitates to some extent in processing of heat sensitive products.
  • Beaters assembly is dynamically balanced which reduces vibration and noise level and increases bearing life.
  • Castors are provided for mobility and brakes can be applied for fixing machine at one place.
  • Machine is available in Plain & Water jacketed model. Flame proof electrical can be provided on demand at extra cost.

Oscillating Granulator

Operation

Granulation is a Mechanical process in which the product is pressed through a sieve with a specially shaped rotor-arm to obtain a desired particle size. This process results in a narrow distribution spectrum as only the product having the right shape, size and position, is broken and passed through the sieve.
The oscillating motion of the rotor improves the granulating process. This sensitive handling of the product emulates the hand operation of an experienced pharmacist.
One important feature of the oscillating granulator is the continuous variation of the speed and force applied to the material. The back and forth motion of the rotor results in an even distribution of the material.
Complete stainless steel. All parts in contact with the product in AISI 316/316L.
